Volcanoes national park is one of the best safari destinations in Rwanda famous for the Golden Monkeys and Gorilla tracking experience. A visit to this park gives guests a rewarding encounter with the primates in the land of a thousand hills. In this safari package, we will take you for a memorable encounter with the rare mountain Gorillas as well as the Golden monkeys.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival and Transfer.
Upon arrival to the Airport, you will meet your safari guide waiting to receive you and transfer you to Hotel Chezlando for an overnight stay (bed and breakfast basis). You will have a detailed briefing on the entire safari itinerary; thereafter have a rest as you prepare for a memorable experience in Volcanoes National park.

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and your safari guide will take you for a rewarding Kigali city tour exploring several attraction sites including the Genocide memorial sites. You will thereafter be transferred the home of the rare mountain Gorillas; that’s Volcanoes National park which will fulfill your dream of adventure with the rare mountain Gorillas. You will be transferred to Mountain Gorilla view Lodge upon arrival into the park for your dinner and an overnight stay (Full Board basis).

After breakfast, you will set off from the lodge accompanied by your guide to the park headquarters at Kinigi for the briefing, orientation and meeting the ranger guides before setting off for the Gorilla tracking experience. You will follow the trails in the forests searching for these Gorillas and en route, you may encounter many other animals and bird species. Once the Gorillas have been encountered, you will have perfect opportunities to take as many pictures as possible, making your African safari a memorable one.
In the afternoon, you will visit the traditional cultural village (The Iby’Iwachu) for a cultural experience. You will thereafter return to Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for dinner and overnight stay (Full Board basis).

In the morning, you go for the Golden monkey tracking experience in the park. Your game rangers will lead you into the forest where you will have a chance to meet these golden monkeys in their natural habitats, as well as other different animal species. Later after tracking, you will prepare and return to Kigali for your international flight. End of safari
