Murchison falls national park is one of the best safari destinations in Uganda ideal for the game viewing safari experience (The African Big Five). Blessed with abundance of wildlife, beautiful scenery and wildlife, this park offers guests the very best encounter with wildlife.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

This day upon arrival to Uganda, you will meet our safari guide who will thereafter transfer you to Airport Guest House for an overnight stay (bed and Breakfast basis). You will have a briefing on how the entire safari process will be conducted. Depending on your arrival time, you may also have a short tour of the Entebbe town for an overview of the local way of life in Uganda.

This morning, you will depart from Entebbe and head to Murchison Falls National Park for a three-day game viewing experience.

Your first stop will be in Luwero, a region known for its fresh Ugandan fruits—especially pineapples. We recommend sampling some of the local produce for a true taste of Uganda.

You’ll then continue to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you’ll enjoy a guided rhino tracking experience, getting up close to the southern white rhinos in their natural habitat.

After the trek, you’ll proceed into Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the evening for your overnight stay at Pakuba Safari Lodge.

After breakfast, you’ll head out for a morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, with opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife including buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kob, and many other species. Keep an eye out for members of the African Big Five as you explore the park’s diverse landscapes.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. From the comfort of the boat, you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and a wide array of birdlife gathered at the water’s edge.

After the cruise, you’ll hike to the top of the falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge and plunges powerfully into the valley below—a breathtaking sight.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at Pakuba Safari Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you’ll set out on a morning boat cruise to the Nile Delta—a bird-watcher’s paradise.

The main highlight of this experience is the chance to spot the rare and elusive shoebill stork, along with a variety of other bird species. You may also see wildlife like hippos, elephants, and crocodiles along the riverbanks as the Nile flows into Lake Albert.

After the cruise, you’ll begin your journey back to Entebbe, arriving later in the evening in time for your outbound flight.
